HCMC – The “A Unified Homeland” exhibition has opened at Vietnam National Archives Center II in HCMC to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and the reunification of the nation (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).

The exhibition presents to visitors more than 200 documents, including nearly 450 pages of texts, maps, and photographs. These are rare materials that have been collected and preserved by the center over the past 50 years.

The documents are organized chronologically according to the major military campaigns carried out by the Vietnamese army and people leading up to the historic Spring Victory of 1975.

In addition, Vietnam National Archives Center II is holding two other thematic exhibitions: “The Value of a Heritage Source” and “50 Urban Planning Milestones of Saigon-Cho Lon-HCMC.”

The “50 Urban Planning Milestones of Saigon-Cho Lon-HCMC” exhibition features 50 maps and numerous rare photographs illustrating the city’s planning and development over nearly 250 years.

The “Value of a Heritage Source” exhibition highlights the nearly 50-year history of Vietnam National Archives Center II, which preserves a uniquely valuable national heritage collection.

The exhibitions are open from April 25 (throughout the April 30-May 1 holiday) and will run until June.
